Cryptocurrency data and web wallet provider Blockchain has reached an agreement with hardware wallet producer Ledger to manufacture a custom hardware device which allows Blockchain users to use a single dedicated hardware wallet to manage their online and offline funds.

Blockchain And Ledger Release New Cryptocurrency Hardware Wallet. On October 25 this week, at a press meet, Blockchain said it was “working with the French hardware wallet manufacturer to produce a device exclusively compatible with its online wallets”
The partnership between the hardware wallet manufacturer Ledger (cryptocurrency software company) and the Cryptocurrency wallet provider Blockchain (Blockchain.info) has developed into a custom dedicated hardware.
‘Blockchain Lockbox’, the hardware wallet which allows users to store their private keys offline in the device.

This hardware wallet device uses Ledger Nano S hardware. However, Ledger announced that deliveries of the device, which is now available for preorder for $99.99, will begin in mid-November.

Blockchain And Ledger Release New Cryptocurrency Hardware Wallet. Sony announced that it created a pioneering contactless cryptocurrency hardware wallet which is based on an IC smart card. Other than transactions, the device will have multiple applications. However, the research division of the Japanese technology titan shared this information in a press release on Tuesday October 23rd.
Trezor, another large cryptocurrency hardware wallet manufacturer, updated its wallet management interface which allows users to swap cryptocurrencies via brokerage services ShapeShift and Changelly. However, their beta version allows users to buy and trade digital currencies. Trezor tweeted on September 19:
“Our beta servers now allow you to exchange cryptocurrencies directly in the Trezor Wallet interface.”
