Who would have thought that a vegan lifestyle project would launch its own crypto token! And that someone from the cast of the enormously popular TV series, Game of Thrones, would join the advisory board of it? Well, that is exactly what has happened. Jerome Flynn, the actor who plays “Bronn” on the show, is doing just that.
“VeganNation” is the name of the Israel-based project. A “fully functioning ecosystem” that will support vegans is being built via a platform that will allow the exchange of products and services that are “100 percent cruelty-free.”
In a press release Flynn said:
“Vegan Nation is that the basis of a world vegetarian economy. It makes vegan lives simpler, more economical, and better for the Earth and the soul of each of us. VeganCoin will allow many more to become vegans and thereby contribute to the reduction of our ecological footprint.”
VeganNation is launching a “traceable” digital currency called VeganCoin. This is part of the decentralized “vegan economy”. As per the Vegan Nation’s “green paper”, 10 percent of proceeds will go to incentivize its ecosystem validators (or “rangers”) and community. The pre-sale of the token began at the end of April.
The aim of VeganNation is to ultimately authenticate whether the foods and products on its platform are 100 percent vegan and cruelty-free by tracking the origin of them. A product marketplace, online social platform and an app for iOS and Android will be included in its services…
Actor Jerome Flynn to handle the crypto project. Alongside Paul and Stella McCartney, Flynn serves as patron of the Vegetarian Society in the U.K… He is an animal rights activist who has been a vegetarian for the past thirty-five years and vegan for the last five.
