Japanese licensed cryptocurrency exchange, Bitpoint, was hacked for $32 million in crypto assets. 32 Million in crypto stolen from Bitpoint Exchange.

Bitpoint halted all services on Friday morning after noticing irregular withdrawals from its hot wallet on Thursday. Thus, including:

  • trading
  • deposit
  • withdrawal of all crypto assets

The exchange offered to trade for five cryptocurrencies: bitcoin, bitcoin cash, ether, litecoin, and XRP. Conversely, it remains unclear which types of assets were lost.

In an announcement, the exchange’s parent company, Remixpoint Inc., said that $23 million of the funds belonged to its customers.

32 Million in crypto stolen from Bitpoint Exchange. In September 2018, Zaif was hacked for $60 million worth of cryptocurrencies. Also, it is a licensed exchange under the Japanese Financial Services Agency.

Coincheck was also breached earlier last year.  However, over $520 million worth of cryptocurrencies has been stolen.
