Automobili Lamborgini, an Italian luxury car brand, started to use Salesforce Blockchain to authenticate Lamborghini heritage cars easily and securely in November last year. Lamborghini Tracking Cars on Salesforce Blockchain For Better Transparency.
Lamborghini digitized the authentication process with Salesforce Blockchain by creating a network of mechanics, repair shops, dealerships and more.
Paolo Gabrielli, Head of After Sales, at Automobili Lamborghini said:
“Innovation has been at the core of our company since its founding,” Salesforce Blockchain will allow us to take our innovation a step further, accelerating the authenticity of our heritage vehicles faster than ever.”
With the latest blockchain system, every car has an immutable record of services like restoration, previous ownership and more to improve the value of Lamborghini’s luxury heritage cars even more.
When a Lamborghini is resold, the car must pass 800 to 1,000 certificate tests at the headquarters of Lamborghini in Sant’Agata Bolognese, Italy.
The cumbersome process of resource management led Lamborghini to use Salesforce Blockchain to build a network of trust between these decentralized partners.
Adam Caplan, SVP, Emerging Technology, Salesforce said:
“Lamborghini is a perfect example of this — we’re excited to see how such an iconic brand can innovate and transform the vintage car market with a cutting edge technology like Salesforce Blockchain.”
In addition, although Lamborghini and its trusted partner network handle all authentication checks, each car is protected against possible counterfeiting, making these luxury cars even more valuable over their lifetime.
