Binance partners with TravelbyBit travel company to offer a crypto travel rewards card to facilitate crypto-payments on major travel websites. Binance Unveils Crypto-Backed Rewards Card with TravelbyBit.
The new rewards card will act similar to a traditional debit card but exclusively for travel deals and promotions.
Crypto holders can load their BTC, BUSD, BNB, and ONT on to the cards and then use to book flights and hotels through popular online travel websites like Booking.com, Expedia, Agoda, and Ctrip, as well as TravelbyBit.com.
Caleb Yeoh, CEO of TravelbyBit, said:
“Many businesses that accept crypto for their services charge users a high premium, which poses a significant barrier to adoption. At TravelbyBit, we want to make crypto useable, provide incentives for early adopters, and see crypto adoption grow. We are excited to work closely with Binance to bring crypto payments to travellers around the globe.”
The partnership with the Binance Development Team was initiated by TravelbyBit for the Travel Rewards Card project. The company’s goal was to launch it in early 2020 and started pre-registration a the end of 2019.
The rewards card is now available to travellers in ASEAN (Southeast Asian Nations Association), Australia, and Europe, with plans to eventually extend access to more nations.
Crypto booking company Travala recently announced that it will now allow its customers to book any hotel with cryptocurrency through Booking.com.
TravelbyBit already accepts payments in fiat and cryptocurrency for flights and hotels and tours, cruises and other services. Users also earn rewards with each reservation made in Bitcoin.
