Wilsons Auctions, an Irish auctioneer is to auction 315 bitcoins seized by the Belgian government. The bitcoin is from a drug trafficking case that included the darknet. However, this will be a 24-hour online auction to begin at noon on Feb. 28. Irish Auctioneer To Sell 315 bitcoins By Belgian Government. 

In an official statement, Wilson ’s that the pillage will be sold in lots running from 0.5 BTC to 4 BTC each. The 315 coins comprise of 104.99 each of bitcoin core. Also, it has bitcoin cash, and bitcoin gold. The lots for BCH and BTG will contain a bigger number of coins.

Wilson won the contract won from the Belgian government. The auctioneer said the bitcoin has a fluctuating value of more than £300,000 (~$390,000) altogether. However, as an agreement of the deal, the auctioneer and advisory company will provide the storage feature. Also, a sale of seized crypto assets overseen by the Federal Government of Belgium.

Irish Auctioneer To Sell 315 bitcoins By Belgian Government. Mallusk-based Wilsons will be physically selling small amounts of BTC. Although, its unreserved government sell-off, which will happen in Belfast on the same day.

“This contract allows us to further expand our cryptocurrency offering and remove the risks that can be associated with trading with unregulated virtual currency exchanges.”

In Canada, dark web drug dealer, Mathew Phan, pleads to be allowed to keep half of the 288 BTC that police seized from him as proceeds of crime. The 30-year-old dealer is arguing that not all of his bitcoin he used for criminal purposes. However, prosecutors are seeking a court order to forfeit the crypto stash, worth CAD $1.4 million (US$1.1 million).

Established in 1936, Wilsons Auction considers itself to be the biggest auction company in the U.K., including Ireland. It offers a scope of administrations from the collection, storage, valuation, marketing, refurbishment, auction and distribution of any asset from cars and commercial goods to property and cryptocurrency.
