Johnny Depp With Cryptocurrency Platform TaTaTu-In order to produce both film and digital content, Hollywood icon Johnny Depp has entered the cryptocurrency community by recently partnering with TaTaTu, a crypto-centric social entertainment platform.
Launched a mere six months ago, TaTaTu has been made great strides in the procuring space, as well as creating film and TV content. It has Antonio Banderas and Alec Baldwin staring in a Lamborghini biopic with a working title of “Lamborghini – The Legend”. The production company is currently also developing an original documentary on two-time Jeremy Renner, and a Jim Caviezel and Mira Sorvino film titled The Sound of Freedom. In addition, it has acquired a documentary on filmmaker William Friedkin titled Friedkin Uncut.
‘Hollywood Reporter’s’ report last Monday stated that the world-renowned actor, producer, and musician Johnny Depp joined the world of crypto. By partnering with TaTaTu, a cryptocurrency-centric social entertainment platform owned by producer and entrepreneur Andrea Iervolino, a 30-year old Italian-Canadian. Who is also running AMBI media group alongside Monika Bacardi.
Johnny Depp With Cryptocurrency Platform TaTaTu-The platform allows users to access all content for free while they earn money for watching and sharing it with other users. All the payments within the platform are made in the TaTaTu native TTU token. In comparison to other similar entertainment platforms, TaTaTu has a social media element that rewards users for posts and reviews.
The company has recently launched its beta version. For now, its movie selection appears to be limited to films produced just for TaTaTu; the game offerings, however, include Call of Duty, Zelda, and Titanfall.
Within the recently announced partnership, Depp will work with Iervolino to produce both film and digital content for the TaTaTu platform. As Ieorovino has enthusiastically commented about the collaboration:
“Johnny has the ability to conceptualize material in a way that few can. And is unburdened of conventional industry formulas that dictate the projects that get made, traditionally. As we make strides to embrace disruptiveness, Johnny will be a key collaborator with us. We are tremendously excited to back his visions and instincts on stories to bring to life.”
Johnny Depp is no less excited than Ieorovino, saying the following:
“In this era of democratized entertainment, I admire the imaginative ethos of Andrea and look forward to collaborating together in a liberating, progressive manner that will benefit the principals of our respective entities.”
Prior to their crypto partnership, Depp and Ierovino were already collaborating on the production of the adaptation of the J.M. Coetzee award-winning novel Waiting for the Barbarians, which they plan to begin shooting later this month in Morocco. AMBI is producing the drama. Which will star Depp, Mark Rylance, and Robert Pattinson, with TaTaTu now also coming on board.
