The Former Prime minister of Ukraine Yulia Tymoshenko, who is at present running a campaign for the presidential battle for the March 2019 elections finally showed her desire to stop by using Blockchain for the anti-corruption campaign.

Tymoshenko dedicated her post to International Anti-Corruption Day, expressing that new Ukraine is submerged in “total corruption.”  Furthermore, she clarified that her party, the All-Ukrainian Union “Fatherland”, is attempting to battle bribery.

The former prime minister said blockchain technology can be used as an effective instrument for public administration. state registries should be stored on a blockchain to stop corruption.

Among different measures, she additionally asked to safeguard the nation’s courts from the impact of politicians. As a result, the authorities who receive bribes and break monopolies will be sued. Meantime Tymoshenko has recently called blockchain the perfect innovation. 

Blockchain For Anti-Corruption Campaign-“Blockchain is a perfect anti-corruption technology, which is proven by international practice. To eliminate corruption in public registries and to protect each citizen’s personal data Blockchain should be used for administration data.”

Tymoshenko became the prime minister of Ukraine in the year 2005 for the first time, and again from late 2007 to early 2010. She announced her candidacy in June 2018, for President of Ukraine in the 2019 election

The Ukrainian Electoral Commission held a decentralized voting pilot utilizing 28 nodes on the NEM blockchain. Therefore, Oleksandr Stelmakh stated  “continuing a series of experiments applying blockchain technology within electoral voting.”
